HIGH SCHOOL MATH TEACHER, ESTRELLA FOOTHILLS HIGH SCHOOL; GOODYEAR, ARIZONA - 2019-Present
I am currently teaching various math content at Estrellal Foothills High School. Algebra I, Honors Algebra I, and Intro to Statistics. I am also teaching Engineering I, II, and III in the CTE program. I have also taught Intro to Algebra, and AP Statistics at Estrella Foothills. I am the assistant coach to Varsity Girls Volleyball, head Varsity Boys Volleyball Coach, and head coach for FIRST Robotics.

HIGH SCHOOL MATH TEACHER, YOUNGKER HIGH SCHOOL; BUCKEYE, ARIZONA - 2012-2019
For seven years I taught various math content at Youngker High School. I have taught Intro to Algebra, Algebra I, Honors Algebra I, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, Survey of Mathematics, Geometry, Algebra II, Remedial Geometry/Algebra (Basic Alg/Geo), and Math Credit Recovery (Math Labs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6). I was the assistant coach to Varsity Girls Volleyball, and the Freshmen Boys Basketball head coach. I have also been the head Varsity Girls Basketball coach, and have also coached Freshmen Girls Basketball. I was also the sponsor for the Roughriders Cycling Club.

8TH GRADE TEACHER, LIBERTY ELEMENTARY; BUCKEYE, ARIZONA - 2010-2012
I taught two years at Liberty Elementary, teaching 8th grade mathematics for both years, and also a section of 8th grade social studies and a section of 7th grade social studies in the 2011-2012 school year. I also taught a photography course to 7th and 8th graders. I was involved with helping with the school's Science Olympiad team, helping in yearbook, coaching volleyball, coaching basketball, and was very involved in streamlining our behavior instrument with technology. I was also on the Gallileo (our assessment instrument) leadership team, and was selected to be a part of the assessment leadership team where I attended a conference about common assessments at the AZ K12 center.

8TH GRADE TEACHER, ESTRELLA MOUNTAIN ELEMENTARY; GOODYEAR, ARIZONA - 2005-2010
In my tenure at EMES I taught 8th grade mathematics for all five years. In addition to this I taught High School Algebra to 8th graders for one year, and taught a section of 7th grade math extensions (math enrichment) for one year. I also taught Accelerated Math and Accelerated Reading all five years to eighth graders. I was very involved coaching basketball and volleyball, coaching Science Olympiad, yearbook sponsor, and MathCounts sponsor. I was also our school's tech pal for one year. I was department chair for the district for mathematics for three years until they changed the structure and no longer had department chairs. I was part of the assessment team involved with unwrapping the 2008 mathematics standards, and creating common assessments with the West Side Impact.

MENTOR, GEAR UP, FLAGSTAFF UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT; FLAGSTAFF, ARIZONA - 2003-2005
I was a mentor to an "at risk" student at Coconino High School. I helped him set goals for getting though high school, and into college. I tried to be a model for him for academic success. During my time with GEAR UP I also was a math tutor at Coconino High School, where I tutored students at every level of high school mathematics (pre-algebra though calculus). I also started a photo club with the GEAR UP students, and taught them photography.

VOLLEYBALL COACH, GLENDALE PARKS AND RECREATION; GLENDALE, ARIZONA - SUMMER 2000
I coached a volleyball clinic for youths ages 10-17 for Glendale Parks and Recreation.

I have tutored at multiple levels, varying from arithmetic to algebra, to trigonometry, to calculus, to college level electrical engineering, to fellow teachers needing to pass the AEPA tests, as well as SAT and ACT prep.

I was a volunteer coach for an 8th grade boys volleyball team for two seasons at an inner-city middle school.

Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Eduction with an emphasis in mathematics. I also have unofficial minors in photography, electronic media, electrical engineering, mathematics, and science. I earned 26 credit hours in mathematics, 15 credit hours in science, and 9 credit hours in social studies.

Teacher as Investigator Fellowship - 9 Credit Hours
This was a great opportunity where I learned how to connect actual mathematics research to instruction in my classroom. I spent the summer doing actual research in mathematics, modeling population growth using algebraic formulas and iterating the data using Excel. Recepient of Arizona STEM Acceleration Program Grant. The Arizona STEM Acceleration Project (ASAP) is a new initiative transforming how Arizona’s K-12 educators deliver high-quality, hands-on STEM activities to our state’s future leaders. ASAP is a grassroots effort to enhance and accelerate STEM activities in schools across Arizona. It provides vital funding and guidance to schools and professional development organizations, increasing their ability to foster engagement, update curricula, and acquire materials needed to improve STEM education for Arizona’s youth and young adults.
